Step 1: Tell Me What You Have in Mind
Please call me at 1-888-8-ARTIST or e-mail me and we can talk about the vision and details of your portrait. During this initial call we will discuss whether you would like a charcoal or oil portrait, the number of subjects that will be in your artwork, and what size will best suit your needs. Please let me know if you have any special requests, such as text you want included or specific colors you would like to see. We can also discuss any special matting or framing you would like, and if you want prints of your portrait for your family or friends. If you would like, you may start the process now by submitting a Portrait Request Form.
Step 2: Send Me Your Photos
Please provide me with any photos that you would like me to use, via mail or e-mail. I prefer to reference the actual photograph, however I frequently work from digital photos. If you would like me to combine multiple photos for your portrait, there may be a small composite charge at my discretion. I require a 50% deposit before I begin your portrait, so you’re welcome to send your photographs and deposit together. I accept all forms of payment, including check, money order, Paypal, Visa and Mastercard. Please let me know if you would like to make special payment arrangements, such as small weekly or monthly payments for certain projects.
Step 3: Approve the Layout
I am pleased to offer you a layout preview of your drawing or painting before I begin working. You will have the opportunity to preview and approve the composition, placement of subjects, font choices (if applicable) and more. This allows us to resolve any issues before I begin your drawing or painting, and helps to ensure your satisfaction with the finished artwork.
Step 4: Approve the Completed Portrait
I pride myself on my service and your complete satisfaction, so I will send you a preview of your final portrait before delivery or shipment. I will be happy to make any changes you would like in order to earn your approval. I will not send your portrait or expect final payment until you are satisfied with your artwork.
Step 5: Delivery of your Drawing or Painting
If you live in the Brentwood or Nashville area, I will be happy to arrange a time for you to pickup your artwork in person and see the other work in my studio. Many of my clients are out-of-state or out-of-country, so you can be confident that I will carefully package and ship your artwork with insurance.
